Hunter Rae Releases Video for New Song Twice

Rising Canadian Singer-Songwriter and Mental Health Advocate Shows Off Raw Honesty in New Music Video

Nashville-TN— July 29th 2022 Vancouver, British Columbia native, and recent Nashville transplant, Hunter Rae has released her debut music video for her single, Twice, today July 29th. The song and video detail the excruciating pain of having your heart broken twice by the same person. Rae’s inspiration for the all too relatable track stemmed from a TikTok which referenced the painstaking ordeal of a double heartbreak. Produced by hit writer and producer Forest Glen Whitehead (Kelsea Ballerini, Hailey Whitters, Dylan Scott), Twice plays on Rae’s pop-country sensibilities and displays her ability to connect with fans using her radiant authenticity.

Rae’s love for music was fostered at a young age, as she dreamed of becoming the “next Taylor Swift.” Rae recalls her vocal instructor challenging her to start writing her own songs, and from there Rae began discovering her voice as an artist, one that is honest, unique, and refreshing in today’s climate. Rae’s first two singles, Boys Like U and Twice, show Rae to be an artist unafraid and unashamed to say exactly what’s on her mind.

Rae has also become an advocate for mental health issues, using her social media platforms to help alleviate the stigma that remains around mental health issues in many communities. Just as she is with her music, Rae is open and honest about her personal mental health journey and hopes to inspire others to emerge from the shadows and live their truths.
