WoC Class Of ‘22 (Part 1)

With the year drawing to a close the time has come to introduce you to some of the artists we’ll be watching as the calendar flips into the new year. This is part one part one of a three part series that will tell you all about our 22 for ‘22.

Ella Langley– Possibly the most unique voice currently in country music, Ella Langley is certainly one of the top artists to watch. Langley’s viral hit “If You Have To”, has already racked up more than 500K Spotify streams in only a few short weeks. Langley’s powerful yet vulnerable vocal draws listeners into her distinctive slice of country music.

Conner Smith– This year has been a huge one for Smith. Prior to this year, Smith had never released music but now with five releases and north of 3 million Spotify streams, Smith is riding a wave of momentum into the new year. Sonically, Smith has all the makings of a superstar in the making, with a musical style that fits somewhere in between Morgan Wallen and Sam Hunt.

Laci Kaye Booth– It only takes one listen to be wowed by the incredible talent of Laci Kaye Booth. Booth’s honeyed vocals possess an almost effortless sounding beauty that is so rare and unique. On top of her outstanding vocal ability, Booth’s prowess as a writer is on full display throughout her self titled debut album, a project that provides an incredible sampling of Booth’s incredibly diverse catalogue.

Leah Marie Mason– Leah Marie Mason continues to cultivate a hypnotizing brand of downtrodden pop-country. Mason’s latest single “Miss Us Then” is her most electrifying release to date with a beautiful mix of happy sounding production along with her trademark sad lyrics. In an interview with Worlds Of Country earlier this year Mason said that she “is hoping to put a project out in 2022”, one that we are incredibly excited about!

Jonathan Hutcherson- Featuring a distinctive sound, Jonathan Hutcherson is an artist that has started to chart his own path within the industry. Hutcherson’s self-titled debut EP features five songs, each song on the project is sonically unique showing Hutcherson as an artist willing to take risks and break free from the cookie cutter formula that many artists try to emulate.

Callista Clark– Few artists have burst onto the scene the Callista Clark has. The teenager’s debut single “It’s Cause I Am”, as at #19 at country radio and still climbing. The incredibly hooky “It’s Cause I Am” and Clark’s debut EP “Real To Me” display an artistic confidence that is rare and refreshing, especially from an artist as young as Clark.

Georgia Webster– So much more than a tiktok sensation, Georgia Webster is another teenager that has been able to quickly find mainstream success. Webster prides herself on her ability to write songs that are both real and relatable. Webster’s debut EP “First Goodbye” is the perfect example of everything Webster strives to be as an artist. Featuring five solo written songs, the EP shows the full range of Webster’s immense vocal and writing talent, a package few can match.

Carter Faith– When you first listen to Carter Faith it’s hard not to make an immediate Kacey Musgraves comparison. Listen some more and you’ll hear Faith’s unwavering authenticity radiate throughout each and every one of her songs. This year, Faith released her debut EP “Let Love Be Love”, an eccentric and fresh project that leaves listeners intoxicated and wanting more.
