Born with a love for music, Tucker Wetmore has always loved performing music. However, it wasn’t until after dropping out of college that Wetmore realized he had to chase down this dream. Wetmore, moved out to Nashville and has been carving out his own path in the industry, following the footsteps of Jon Pardi and other modern artists keeping the 90’s Country sound alive.
Recently, we had the chance to chat with Wetmore, fresh off his new single “Another Shot”.
When did you know that you wanted to pursue a career in music?
I’ve always played and loved music, after I dropped out of
college music found me again and I knew that’s what I needed to be doing.
One you knew, what was you first step towards making this dream
I took the first step towards making this dream a reality when I moved from my small hometown of Kamala, Washington to Nashville. I really needed to take that step and I’m so grateful that I did.
Who would you call your biggest musical influences?
My biggest musical influences are Jon Pardi, Hardy, and Cody Johnson.
How would you describe the Tucker Wetmore sound?
The Tucker Wetmore sound is pure fun and a whole lotta honky tonk.
What’s the story behind your new single, “Another Shot”?
Another shot is a double entendre. It’s pretty much about a guy at a bar asking the bartender for another shot, but is really meaning to ask the girl he missed out on for “another shot.”
What’s next for you?
More new music coming soon, so stay tuned. I can’t wait to start playing live shows as well!
